Dear Franklin County,
We love you. Thanks to you, Artspace has raised a whopping $112,540 to bring ceramics education to Greenfield!
This afternoon we received word from the Mass Cultural Council that Artspace has been approved for a Cultural Facilities Grant of $28,000 in support of the community clay studio we are all dreaming of.
This grant, added to everything that this community had donated so far, means that we have met and exceeded our goal!
THANK YOU to the hundreds of donors, volunteers, partners, and advocates who brought us to this point.

River Valley Radical Futures
Opening reception: Friday, June 20th, 5-8pm
This show is on view at Artspace June 20th - July 11th
The River Valley Radical Futures exhibition travels to a future in the Connecticut River Valley 100 years beyond the fall of capitalism, imagined by local groups who work towards that future today.
This exhibition showcases imagined artifacts excavated from this future and ideas co-created by members of over 14 local groups envisioning alternative ways of being in the Valley today. These creatives asked themselves “What kind of world are we trying to create through the work we do today?”
This exhibit highlights the work of Sunny Allis, Mary Katherine Cleary, David von Dufving, Bo Kim, Sharon Color, Michael Medeiros, Laura Torraco, and Alix Gerber

FREE ART SATURDAY! The Art of Collage and Play
August 9th, 10am-12pm, with Alejandra Spruill
UPSTAIRS** Art Room
Recommended for ages 14yo+
Come cut, tear, layer, and explore in The Art of Collage and Play—where there are no rules, just materials, curiosity, and time to create.
This session is about freedom, intuition, and letting go of expectations. We’ll provide the tools—magazines, paper scraps, glue, scissors, and more—and you bring whatever mood you’re in. Whether you're making something abstract, narrative, messy, or minimal, collage is a space to follow what feels good and see what unfolds.
No experience needed, and nothing is too precious. Come as you are, play a little, and leave with whatever you made along the way.
All base materials are provided, but feel free to bring anything personal you'd like to incorporate.
**If you have mobility restrictions and cannot utilize stairs, please email us ASAP, and we can relocate to the main floor
Free Art Saturdays are made possible through our loving community attending programs, spreading the word, and offering generous donations.
