About the event
In this program, kids age 12 - 15 will explore the properties of ceramic clay and learn both basic handbuildng and wheel throwing. They will learn how to work with clay at its various stages from wet to dry and create finished pieces.
This 90 minute class is held from 2:30pm - 4:00pm on Wednesdays, September 17th, 24th, October 1st, 8th, and 15th. Students may arrive at 2:20 for a snack (provided); prompt pick up is expected. Class will be held in our new 1st floor clay studio.
ALL art materials are provided! Clay, glaze, and firing included; shared tools available. Please note: this is our "soft launch" session in our new studio. The session is two weeks shorter than subsequent sessions. Students who register for this session should expect to be flexible as we test studio operations!
