About the event

Update: 2nd Floor of Artspace**, location TBD, Friday, September 26th 5:00pm - 7:30pm Instructed by Heidi Weeks, $15/artist For ages 10+, open to all level artists with no experience necessary Learn the art of visible mending—a creative and sustainable way to repair your favorite garments. Using hand-stitching techniques inspired by Japanese boro and sashiko traditions, you’ll practice patching, reinforcing, and embellishing worn fabric with intention. This is slow stitching as meditation and self-expression, all while keeping clothing out of the landfill. No sewing experience necessary—just bring something in need of mending and a willingness to stitch outside the lines.
