
This summer Artspace is offering a facilitated open studio model for adult clay classes in both handbuilding and wheel-throwing in July and August.
Choose your own weeks in our 3 summer clay studios to create a custom schedule:
1. Tuesdays: Adult Handbuilding
with Danielle Lucier
2. Wednesdays: Adult Beginner Wheel
with Jennifer Zera & Sam Friedland
3. Thursdays: Adult Intermediate & Advanced Wheel
with Helen Thelen
Each week the instructor will offer and facilitate a project or technique; however, students are also welcome to work independently.
Up to 5 lbs clay/week included in registration.
Registration is by the week with a four-week minimum
Important Details:

If you have not attended a clay class at Artspace within the last year, you must attend a studio orientation on June 23rd at 5pm or June 27th at 12pm. (Alternate dates available for a small fee.)

Summer curriculum is fluid because attendance will vary week to week.

Summer Studio does not include glazing; glaze sessions will be held on August 1st and September 5th from 1-3pm. Registration will open in July and will be $15/hr.

Students are allowed to reschedule up to two of their week selections as space allows.

You will receive an electronic invoice within a week after you register; payment must be received before your first class.

Tuesday Handbuilding Studio
Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8pm in July and August. Open to all levels. Taught by Danielle Lucier with occasional subs.
Wednesday Wheelthrowing Studio
Wednesday evenings from 6 - 8:30 in July and August. Geared toward beginners but open to all levels. Taught by Jen Zera and Sam Friedland.
Thursday Intermediate & Advanced Wheelthrowing Studio
Thursday evenings from 6 - 8:30 in July and August. Geared toward intermediate and advanced students. Taught by Helen Thelen with occasional subs.
Artspace Community Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that encourages and nurtures the appreciation of and participation in the arts by offering programs and instruction, and by advocating the importance of the arts in education and in the community. All funds collected through donations and class registrations go directly back into the community, supporting our instructors, staff, and creating free and low-cost programming to our community.
