45th Annual Artspace Market Terms and Conditions

First and foremost, thank you for your interest in participating in the Art Annual Artspace Market and Fundraiser. With our market, we strive to foster a safe, comfortable, and communal space where local artisans, community partners, and small businesses can share their talents with Greenfield and support our mission to provide accessible arts education to Franklin County.

If you have concerns or questions regarding the terms and conditions, please reach out to our office before your application submission: info@artspacegreenfield.org

  1. At Artspace, we celebrate, support, and thrive on our creativity and diversity. Artspace Community Arts Center does not tolerate hate, disrespect, or harassment towards others; including, but not limited to antisemitism, xenophobia, racism, homophobia, or other attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community. All vendors must join us in celebration and love of the arts and our diverse community. If there are signs of hate within your business practices, online or social media presence, or witnessed at our event, you will be withdrawn from the market and asked to leave.

  2. Space is limited. Each vendor is provided room for one (1) 6ft x 3ft space (+ room for sitting), for their vending setup. Artspace is happy to provide 6' x 3' tables upon request. Requests MUST be made in advance, preferably during the Accepted Vendor paperwork. Any additional space and display accommodations beyond the 6ft x 3ft table must be approved by Artspace.

  3. There will be a 35% commission/donation of all sales going to Artspace Community Arts Center. All sales at the Artspace Market are handled by Artspace staff and volunteers. We will write vendors checks for 65% of their sales, mailing them to addresses provided by vendors OR having them available for pick up at Artspace’s main Office (15 Mill St, Greenfield, MA) upon request. Your check will be available by May 1st, 2024 and we will email vendors when they are ready. Further explanation of this process will be made in future agreement forms and at vendor meetings.

  4. To provide Franklin County with a low-cost, accessible, and family-friendly marketplace, we ask vendors to sell goods at a variety of price points, the majority falling under $50. **No artwork or goods should be drastically undersold to fit this requirement**. Please bring goods that are priced at their honest value. If you are selling your goods at a discount, please CLEARLY label them as such. For example: "50% off all artwork!" or "originally $100 on sale for $50". Artwork “seconds” are always welcomed!

  5. To prevent last-minute gaps in our vendor lineup, we have decided to require all accepted vendors to place a $30 table-holding fee. This $30 fee will be collected alongside future agreement forms and returned to all participating vendors with their Artspace Market Checks. Accepted vendors who fail to notify Artspace at least 1 week before the Artspace Market of their withdrawal, will not be refunded their $30 holding fee and this will go towards our programming. Emergency withdrawals are understood but need to be communicated as soon as you can.

  6. Due to New England’s unpredictable weather, this year we are requiring accepted vendors to be able to commit to both the scheduled April 6th primary date and the April 7th secondary snow date. Being held at Greenfield High School, the school district decides when their buildings are to be closed due to hazardous weather.
